Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need Screen Time permission?

On iOS, Anstogo uses Apple Screen Time related APIs to apply restrictions to apps, categories, or websites you select.

How do I unlock an app?

Open the unlock challenge from Anstogo or from the lock screen flow, answer the required questions, and temporary access will be granted.

Can I choose difficulty?

Yes. You can select a difficulty band or choose random difficulty in Settings.

What is Independent Lock?

Independent Lock unlocks only the specific app you challenged for. Other locked apps remain restricted.

What is Heteronomy Mode?

When enabled, users cannot manually unlock apps from the locked app list, helping reduce impulsive bypassing.

Why are Pro features unavailable?

Reopen Anstogo, make sure you are signed in with the same account, and check your subscription status in Settings.

Data We May Process

Anstogo may process account information, app settings, selected question banks, study progress, mistakes, subscription status, and support emails you send to us.

Screen Time Data

On iOS, app and website restrictions are handled through Apple Screen Time related APIs. We use this information only to provide locking and unlocking features.

How We Use Data

We use data to operate core app features, sync account status, provide Pro access, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and prevent abuse.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We receive purchase status information needed to unlock subscription features, but we do not receive full payment card details.

Children

Anstogo is a productivity and study tool. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can help remove it.

Subscription and Pro Features

Pro Access

Pro may include advanced explanations, analysis, tips, and other premium study features shown in the app.

Billing and Cancellation

Subscriptions are managed by the platform where you purchased them. On iOS, you can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Refunds

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. If you need a refund, please use Apple’s official report-a-problem flow.

Account and Data Requests

Request Data Deletion

To request deletion of account-related data, email support@anstogo.com from the email address associated with your account.

Local Data

Some settings, imported files, study records, and cached data may be stored on your device. You can remove local app data by deleting Anstogo from your device.
